Glass is a combination of sand and other materials, including silica, soda ash and limestone, that are melted together at very high temperatures. Glass chemically has the properties of a liquid, but at room temperature, is so viscous it looks and feels like a solid. At higher temperatures, glass is softer and therefore can be poured, blown, pressed and moulded into any shape.
